1September 23rd, 2017 - Friday night found Eric Cooley in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the annual Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100. Drawing 42 Super Late Models for the unsanctioned weekend, Cooley held his spot in his heat race to place 7th. Slated to start 6th in his B-Main on Saturday evening, Eric headed home Friday evening after experiencing issues in his 12-lap heat.

1September 9th, 2017 - Eric Cooley traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned Governor’s Cup. Earning the 14th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Eric gained two spots in the 40-lapper logging a 12th place finish.

1September 3rd, 2017 - On Friday night Eric Cooley kicked off the Labor Day weekend at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned event. With 28 Super Late Models on hand, Cooley secured his spot into the $3,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Rolling off 12th for the feature, Eric gained two positions in the 35-lapper to place 10th.

1After taking Saturday off, Eric returned to action on Sunday at Moulton Raceway Park (Moulton, Alabama) competing in the Super Late Model ranks. Wheeling his way to his third win of the season, Eric topped the 10-car field to capture the $2,000 payday. Ray McElhiney, Trent Letson, Billy Flannigan Jr., and Mark Mears completed the Top 5 finishers.

1August 26th, 2017 - Saturday evening found Eric Cooley in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) competing in a field of 25 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) entries. Following the fifth fastest time in his group in qualifying, Cooley worked his way up to a 5th place finish in the feature trailing David Breazeale, Dane Dacus, Spencer Hughes, and Chris Wall across the finish line.

1August 19th, 2017 - Powering the Bryson Motorsports #33B entry, Eric Cooley made the trip to Moulton Raceway Park (Moulton, Alabama) on Friday evening competing in a field of 14 Super Late Models. Laying down the third fastest time in qualifying, Eric earned the 3rd-starting position for the 25-lap main event. 1August 5th, 2017 - On Saturday night Eric Cooley visited Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) returning with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series. Following the sixth fastest time in his qualifying group, Cooley landed a 2nd place finish in his B-Main behind Garrett Alberson locking him into the 12th-starting position for the main event. With $2,500 on the line, Eric was an early retiree from the 50-lapper while being credited with a 22nd place outing.

1July 8th, 2017 - Making his first start with the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Eric Cooley and the Bryson Motorsports team made the trip to Macon Speedway (Macon, Illinois) on Thursday night for the 37th annual Herald & Review 100. Drawing 37 Super Late Models for the 18th round of the tour, Cooley secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. 1The following night with 40 Super Late Models on hand at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois), Cooley registered a 6th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 2 into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Eric fell two spots short with a 4th place outing.

1Wrapping up his three-day stint with the Hell Tour, Eric stopped at Highland Speedway (Highland, Illinois) on Saturday night for the $10,000 top prize. 1June 17th, 2017 - Behind the wheel of the Bryson Motorsports #33B Super Late Model, Eric Cooley visited Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned contest. Drawing 40 entries for the annual Clash at the Mag, Eric came up two spots short of a transfer position in his heat race with a 6th place outing. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the show, Cooley grabbed the 3rd and final transfer spot locking him into the 22nd-starting position for the feature. 1June 10th, 2017 - Returning with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series, Eric Cooley and Bryson Motorsports team headed to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. After coming short of a transfer position into the show via qualifying, Cooley scored a runner-up finish behind Hunter Rasdon in his B-Main locking him into the 11th-starting spot for the feature. Moving up two spots in the 50-lapper, Eric Cooley posted a 9th place finish.

1May 6th, 2017 - Eric Cooley made the trip to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned program. After timing in outside the Top 8 in qualifying, Cooley charged to the Cliburn Tank Line B-Main victory earning him the 9th-starting spot for the A-Main. With $2,500 on the line, Eric dropped back to a 22nd place outing.

1April 29th, 2017 - There was no first-race rust for Eric Cooley behind the wheel of his Bryson Motorsports #33b Eric Cooley Trucking/ Barry Wright/ Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model on Saturday night. In fact, the Fulton, Mississippi racer stormed to the feature win at Magnolia Motor Speedway in his 2017 season opener.

“That’s a heck of a way to start a season,” Cooley said with his signature smile. “We had a good car from the drop of the green, and I was able to take advantage of lapped traffic to get to the lead. Late in the race Chad [Thrash] gave me a good challenge, but luckily we were able to get the win.”

1Twenty Super Late Model competitors registered for action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi), and Eric began his night by laying down the fourth-fastest lap in time trials. As a result, he started 4th on the grid for the feature.

Cooley would slowly work his way past the front runners during the race’s early stages. By the feature’s midway point the leaders were navigating heavy lapped traffic, and Cooley used the opportunity to grab the lead. He would go on to lead the remainder of the event to register his first victory of 2017.

Thrash, Hunter Rasdon, Shay Knight, and Jamey Boland completed the Top-5 finishers.

January 24th, 2017 - Traveling to a total of 29 events during the 2016 season, Eric Cooley reeled in three feature wins in his Super Late Model and one in the Crate Late Model division. Losing only three of his dates to bad weather, Cooley posted 23 Top 10 finishes and 16 Top 5 outings.

1November 26th, 2016 - Returning behind the wheel of the #72B Crate Late Model and the #33B Super Late Model, Eric Cooley traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Friday for the two-day Possum Town Grand Prix. Drawing 66 Crate Late Models for the two-day NeSmith Chevrolet Dirt Late Model Series sanctioned event, Cooley followed up the 4th fastest qualifying time in his group with a heat race victory. Earning the 3rd-starting spot for the $10,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday evening, Eric held his spot for all 100-laps notching a 3rd place finish behind Riley Hickman and Chase Washington with Chris Brown and Grant Garrison rounding out the Top 5 finishers.

1Battling in a field of 22 Super Late Models on Saturday night, Eric rolled off 2nd for the main event based off qualifying times. Bringing home another podium finish in the 25-lapper, Eric Cooley scored a runner-up finish behind David Breazeale with Jamie Tollison, Brett White, and Kyle Shaw trailing them across the finish line.

1November 6th, 2016 - Battling in both his Super and Crate Late Model, Eric Cooley and the Bryson Motorsports Team invaded East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Alabama) on Friday night for the 42nd Annual National 100. In a field of 38 Super Late Models, Cooley laid down the 2nd fastest time in his qualifying group behind Casey Roberts locking his spot into the opening night preliminary feature. Starting in 4th, Eric fell back to a 16th place outing in the 42-lapper.

On Saturday night after recording the 13th fastest time in qualifying, Cooley edged his way into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 6th place finish in his B-Main. Rolling off 22nd for the preliminary feature, Eric jumped up three spots posting a 19th place finish.

In a field of 42 Crate Late Models on Saturday, Cooley failed to transfer into the main event via qualifying giving him one last shot with a B-Main appearance on Sunday.

1Returning on Sunday, Cooley started on the pole of his Super Late Model B-Main and the 2nd in the Crate Late Model B-Main. Transferring the Top 4 out of both and into the National 100, Eric stormed to a consolation victory in the Super division while landing a runner-up finish behind Pierce McCarter in the Crate division. Coming from the 20th-starting spot, Eric passed 12 cars in the 50-lap Crate Late Model feature scoring an 8th place finish. Rolling off 17th for $20,000-to-win A-Main, Eric Cooley jumped up one spot registering a 16th place finish.

1October 22nd, 2016 - Piloting the #33B Bryson Motorsports Super Late Model and the Bud Coley Trucking powered #72s Crate Late Model, Eric Cooley returned to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Friday night for the 22nd Annual Coors Light Fall Classic. In a field of 37 Super Late Models, Cooley edged his way into the main event on Saturday night with a 4th place finish in his heat. Battling for a $15,000 payday, Eric improved eights spots in the 100-lapper posting an 8th place finish.

1Competing in a field of 38 NeSmith Crate Late Models, Cooley locked his spot into the feature with another 4th place finish in his heat. Coming from the 13th-starting position, Eric Cooley stormed his way to the front capturing his 4th victory of the season with Josh Barnes, Robbie Starnes, Monte Skinner, and Jamey Boland completing the Top 5 finishers. Eric was awarded a $2,500 payday for his victory in the A-Main.

1October 15th, 2016 - Following the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSSCS), Eric Cooley made the trip to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Saturday night. Competing in both the Super and Crate Late Model divisions for the Mississippi State Championships, Eric fell one position short of a Top 5 finish in the $2,000-to-win Super Late Model A-Main posting a 6th place finish. Coming from the 20th-starting spot in the Crate division, Cooley stormed through the field 16 spots landing a solid 4th place finish.

1October 1st, 2016 - Competing in both the Super and Crate Late Model division, Eric Cooley headed to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Friday for the two-day Gumbo Nationals. Drawing 45 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models, Cooley locked his spot into the $10,000-to-win A-Main on Saturday evening with a 4th place finish in his heat. 1In a field of 26 NeSmith Crate Late Models on Friday, Eric cruised to heat race win giving him the 3rd starting spot for the A-Main on Saturday. Holding his spot for the entire distance of the feature, Cooley notched a 3rd place finish behind Chase Washington and Cliff Williams with Greg Fore and Josh Banes completing the Top 5 finishers.

December 14th, 2015 - Competing in a total of 41 events, Eric Cooley picked up seven feature wins, five in his Super Late Model and two in his Crate Late Model. With the rain affecting eight of his planned events, Cooley notched 23 Top 10 finishes. He also finished with 14 Top 5 outings. At the end of the year Eric wrapped up an ninth spot in Southern All Star Series points standings.
