July 27th, 2012 - Eric made history on Friday night by winning the first Super Late Model feature of his career with a $2,000 triumph at Thunderhill Speedway (Summertown, Tennessee). Fifteen entries were on hand for the event, and Cooley started the night by rocketing to fast time honors with an 11.632 second lap around the high-banked oval in his #33b Bryson Motorsports/Barry Wright/Jeff Burns Racing Engine Super Late Model. Via his qualifying effort he earned the pole position for the 30 lap finale with Jerry Owens starting to his outside. July 7th, 2012 - Eric and Bryson Motorsports returned to action in the #33 Barry Wright Super Late Model over the weekend in the Clash at the Mag, which was sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS). The $20,000-to-win event saw 50 competitors register for action, and in time trials on Friday night Eric qualified eighth fastest in his group to earn the fourth starting spot for the fourth heat race.
