1September 20th, 2014 - Eric Cooley entered a single event over the weekend in his #33b Bryson Motorsports/Barry Wright Super Late Model as he traveled to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) to compete with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS).

Thirty-three entries took part in the $2,500-to-win, Mississippi State Championship, and Eric won the dash after setting the fastest time in his group to lock into the pole position for the feature with Neil Baggett alongside. In the feature, Baggett jumped out to the early lead with Cooley in tow. Cooley trailed Baggett for much of the race before making a bid for the top spot with just three laps to go. While attempting the pass, Cooley lost control of his entry in turns three and four, bringing his night to an early end with a disappointing eleventh place finish.
