1July 8th, 2017 - Making his first start with the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour, Eric Cooley and the Bryson Motorsports team made the trip to Macon Speedway (Macon, Illinois) on Thursday night for the 37th annual Herald & Review 100. Drawing 37 Super Late Models for the 18th round of the tour, Cooley secured his spot into the $5,000-to-win A-Main with a 3rd place finish in his heat race. 1The following night with 40 Super Late Models on hand at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois), Cooley registered a 6th place finish in his heat race sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 2 into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Eric fell two spots short with a 4th place outing.

1Wrapping up his three-day stint with the Hell Tour, Eric stopped at Highland Speedway (Highland, Illinois) on Saturday night for the $10,000 top prize. Moving up one spot in his heat race, Cooley edged his way into the feature with the 4th and final transfer spot. 1July 2nd, 2017 - On Sunday evening the Bryson Motorsports team visited Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) with Eric Cooley piloting the #33B Super Late Model for the COMP Camps Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned program. After timing in fifth fastest in his qualifying group, Eric registered a 4th place finish in his 10-lap heat race locking him into the 13th-starting position for the $2,000-to-win A-Main.
