1September 3rd, 2016 - Kicking off the Labor Day weekend, Eric Cooley traveled to Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) on Friday night for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned event. With 33 cars signed in for the Labor Day Classic, Cooley looked for his second consecutive win behind the wheel of his #33B Super Late Model. Making a charge for the lead late in the 30-lap feature, Eric took the top spot with 4 laps to go capturing his third victory of the season and a $3,000 payday. 1On Saturday night Eric headed to Thunderhill Raceway (Summertown, Tennessee) for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned event. Drawing 18 Super Late Models for the Labor Day Weekend 40, Cooley earned the 9th-starting position for the $4,000-to-win A-Main. Dropping out of the Top 10, Eric Cooley fell back to a 17th place outing.

1August 27th, 2016 - Returning with the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS), Eric Cooley visited Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the $2,500-to-win A-Main. Drawing a stout field of 36 Super Late Models, Eric charged to a dash victory from the 5th-starting position early in the night. Starting on the pole for the A-Main, Cooley fell back to 3rd early in the event after chosing the low groove. Gaining momentum on a late-race restart, Eric Cooley took the lead on lap 22 to go on to capture his second victory of the season. “This win has been a long-time coming,” said an elated Cooley. “I feel like I’ve finished 2nd more than a hundred times with the State Series, but I’ve never been able to seal the deal until tonight. It feels so good. I can’t thank God and my crew enough!”

Cooley went on to note, “I definitely want to dedicate this win to one of my car owners, Tonya Bryson. Her mom passed away on Friday night, and my heart is aching for her, so this win goes out to Tonya and her entire family during their trying times.”

1August 6th, 2016 - Behind the wheel of the Cooley Transport powered #33B Super Late Model, Eric Cooley made the trip to Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned program. Competing in a field of 21 in the $2,500-to-win A-Main, Cooley reeled in a 7th place finish when the checkers flew.

1July 16th, 2016 - Competing in the 13th Annual Governor’s Cup, Eric Cooley headed to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Southern All Star Series sanctioned program. Locking the top ten qualifiers into the A-Main, Cooley posted the 4th fastest time in a field of twenty-seven cars earning him a 2nd row starting spot for the feature. With $5,000 on the line, Eric fell one spot in the 50-lapper notching a 5th place finish behind Riley Hickman, Jack Sullivan, David Breazeale, and Dane Dacus.

1July 3rd, 2016 - Celebrating the 4th of July weekend, Eric Cooley and the Bryson Motorsports team made the trip to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Sunday night for the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) sanctioned event. Posting a 3rd place finish in his heat, Eric was slated to start 11th for the 35-lap A-Main. Batting for a $2,000 payday, Cooley improved four positions in the main event recording a 7th place finish.

1June 25th, 2016 - Piloting the #72 Steele’s Dive Barry Wright Race Car, Eric Cooley traveled to Moulton Motor Speedway (Danville, Alabama) on Friday competing in the Crate Late Model division. Battling in a field of thirteen cars in the feature, Cooley was disqualified from the main event.

1On Saturday night Eric headed to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Alabama) piloting both a Super and Crate Late Model. Drawing twenty-two cars for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned War Between the States, Cooley brought home a top five finish in the feature. With $3,000 on the line, Eric Cooley parked his Bryson Motorsports sponsored #33B 4th behind Jason Hiett, Todd Morrow, and Cruz Skinner with Tom Roszell coming in 5th.

1During the same night in the Crate Late Model division, Cooley landed another 4th place outing in the feature behind Cruz Skinner, Dillon Tidmore, and Adam Gauldin with Dustin Knighten rounding out the top five.

1June 18th, 2016 - After the weather shortened the Clash at the Mag to a one-day show, Eric Cooley traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Saturday night for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event. In a field of forty-five Super Late Models, Cooley fell one spot short of a transfer position in his  heat with a 5th place outing. Transferring the top three out of the B-Main and into the $12,000-to-win A-Main, Eric edged his way into the feature with a 3rd place spot. 1May 29th, 2016 - Taking part in the three-day Memorial Day weekend, Eric Cooley visited Moulton Motor Speedway (Danville, Alabama) on Friday night competing in the $2,000-to-win Super Late Model event. Bringing home a podium finish, Cooley notched a 2nd place finish in the feature behind Ronny Lee Hollingsworth.

1The following night brought Eric to North Mississippi Motor Park (Corinth, Mississippi) to a stout field of twenty-four entries. Parking his Cooley Transport #33B Super Late Model in the top five again in the A-Main, Eric Cooley posted a 3rd place finish behind Bo Shirley, Tanner English with Bub McCool and Shane Stevens rounding out the top five.

1Wrapping up the busy weekend, Cooley stopped at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) on Sunday night competing in the Super Late Model division. In a field of seventeen cars, Cooley earned the pole position starting spot for the feature via preliminary results. Capturing his first win of the season, Eric Cooley cruised to the A-Main triumph with Jamie Tollison, Shay Knight, Buddy George, and Jason Brock trailing him to the checkers.

1May 21st, 2016 - On Saturday night Eric Cooley returned to Moulton Motor Speedway (Danville, Alabama) for the unsanctioned event. Posting the fastest time in qualifying, Eric earned the pole position starting spot for the feature. Falling one position in the A-Main, Cooley landed a runner-up finish behind Ronny Lee Hollingsworth with Dillon Tidmore, Mark Mears, and Richard Smith rounding out the top five.

1May 7th, 2016 - Making his 2016 season debut, Eric Cooley made the trip to Moulton Motor Speedway (Danville, Alabama) on Saturday night powering the Cooley Transport #33B Super Late Model. In a field of eighteen cars, Eric notched a top five finish in the main event. Working a his way into a podium spot, Cooley scored a 3rd place finish behind Jay Scott and Shay Knight with Travis Kess and Richard Smith rounding out the top five.

December 14th, 2015 - Competing in a total of thirty-one events, Eric Cooley picked up seven feature wins, five in his Super Late Model and two in his Crate Late Model. With the rain affecting eight of his planned events, Cooley notched twenty-three top ten finishes. He also finished with fourteen top five outings. At the end of the year Eric wrapped up an ninth spot in Southern All Star Series points standings.

1October 24th, 2015 - Eric Cooley was one of forty-five Super Late Models signed in at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Mississippi) on Friday night for the two-day Coors Light Fall Classic. Transferring the top three from the heats, Eric was sent to the B-Main on Saturday night after placing 9th. Battling for a 4th place or better to make the $15,000-to-win A-Main, Cooley fell three spots short of a transfer position with a 7th place outing.

October 17th, 2015 - Friday night brought Eric Cooley to Duck River Raceway Park (Wheel, Tennessee) for the Deep Fried 75. Drawing thirty-four entries for the two-day unsanctioned event, Cooley edged his way into the main event on Saturday night with a 4th place heat finish. October 10th, 2015 - On Saturday night Eric Cooley Made the trip to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the two-day Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100. Drawing a massive field of 66 Super Late Models, Cooley needed a 3rd place finish or better in his heat to make the $20,000 to win A-Main on Saturday night. Failing to his a transfer spot, Eric had one more shot at the main event with a B-Main appearance. 1October 3rd, 2015 - Eric Cooley visited Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Friday night for the two-day event sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS). With 43 Super Late Models signed in for the 9th Annual Harlow’s Casino Gumbo Nationals, Eric scored a runner-up finish to Brian Rickman in his heat transferring him into the main event on Saturday night. Competing for a $10,000 payday, Cooley fell seven spots in the 75-lap affair retiring a 13th place finish.
