1July 11, 2020 - Eric Cooley was one of 30 Southern All Star Series entries on hand at ECM Speedway (Bremen, Ala.) on Saturday afternoon for the Rolling on the River 40. Laying down the second fastest time in his group behind Dane Dacus, Cooley locked his spot into the main event. With $4,000 on the line, Eric posted a sixth place finish in the 40-lap affair.

1June 20, 2020 - On Thursday afternoon Eric Cooley invaded Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Miss.) piloting the 78 Towing No. 33 Late Model for the three-day General Tire Clash at the Mag. Drawing 55 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) entries for two rounds of preliminary features leading up to the main event on Saturday, Cooley followed up the 11th fastest time in his group with a seventh place finish in his heat. Needing a second place finish or better in his B-Main to make the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Eric logged an eighth place outing.

The following night for another $5,000-to-win preliminary feature, Eric fell two spots short of transfer position in his heat with a fifth place finish. Transferring into the B-Main for another shot at the A-Main, Cooley recorded a seventh place finish.

Slated to start near the tail of his B-Main on Saturday for one final shot at the $15,000-to-win General Tire Clash at the Mag, Cooley elected to save equipment and scratched from the 12-lapper.

June 13, 2020 - After more than a two-month hiatus due to the ongoing Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Eric Cooley kicked off his 2020 season on Saturday night at ECM Speedway (Bremen, Ala.) for the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) sanctioned program. Earning the 10th-starting position for the $3,000-to-win A-Main via preliminary events, Cooley was passing for fifth when mechanical issues struck, forcing him to retire from the remainder of the evening. December 3, 2019 - The 2019 season saw Eric Cooley compete in a total of 14 events behind the wheel of the 78 Towing & Recovery No. 33c Late Model entry. Losing two of his scheduled dates to Mother Nature, Cooley collected one win, two Top-5 finishes, and eight Top-10 outings.

The victory marked his first of the 2019 season.

“Friday night we set fast time in our group and that set everything in motion for the rest of the night. I can’t thank my crew enough for their help and the late night in the shop to put me in position to win this race,” Cooley said. “I knew as long as I could keep my line and hit my marks that I’d be tough to pass. On Saturday night I buried us early in the night, and we had to come out of the B-Main. We started deep in the field, and I decided to just pull off early to save the car. Still not a bad weekend at all for our team.

“I’d like to say a very special thanks to Norman Bryson with Bryson Motorsports and all of my sponsors, who support my program.”

1Eric Cooley was one of 24 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series entries on hand at Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) on Friday evening for the opening round of Gumbo Nationals doubleheader. Starting the night with a heat race victory, Eric earned the second-starting position for the opening night feature.

Outrunning a hard-charging Chad Thrash, Cooley soared to his first win of the season. Thrash, Mike Palasini Jr., Brian Rickman, and B.J. Robinson completed the Top-5 finishers. He earned a $4,000 payday for his triumph.

Returning on Saturday night for the $8,000-to-win finale, Cooley fell short of a transfer spot in his heat race, but captured a consolation victory. Starting the main event in 17th, Eric retired early from the feature to a 21st-place finish.

September 28, 2019 - On Friday night Eric Cooley and the Bryson Motorsports team traveled to Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) for the Magnolia State Cotton Pickin’ 100. Drawing 35 Super Late Models for the two-day event, Cooley fell one spot short of a transfer position in his heat with a 5th place finish. Coming in 2nd in his B-Main behind Rick Rickman, Eric locked into the 19th-starting position for the opening night feature. 1Returning on Saturday evening for the $12,000 top prize, Cooley followed up a 5th place finish in his heat with a 10-lap consolation victory. Starting the 70-lap feature in 18th, Eric improved four spots to place 14th.

1September 21, 2019 - Friday found Eric Cooley in action at ECM Speedway (Bremen, Alabama) for the regular night of racing. Reeling in a Top-5 finish in the feature, Eric posted a runner-up spot behind David Gentry with Shay Miller, Will Perrell, and Kevin Hale rounding out the Top-5.

September 1, 2019 - Eric Cooley returned to action on Friday evening at Crowley’s Ridge Raceway (Paragould, Arkansas) for the Comp Cams Super Dirt Series sanctioned contest. Drawing 28 cars for the Labor Day weekend opener, Cooley followed up a 7th place finish in his heat with a runner-up finish in his B-Main behind Chris Jones. Passing six cars in the 40-lap feature, Eric reeled in a 6th place finish.

1On Sunday afternoon at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi), Eric came short of a transfer position in both his heat race and B-Main. Earning a provisional into the $3,000-to-win finale, Cooley gained ten spots in the 40-lapper to place 10th.
